Founded in 1978, 500X is one of the longest-lived artist-run cooperative galleries in the US. Our longevity is a testament to our unique mission as a serious venue for emerging contemporary artists not (yet) represented by commercial galleries. Many of the most notable artists of the DFW area – Frances Bagley, Tom Orr, Nic Nicosia, Vincent Falsetta and Vernon Fisher are former 500X members.
